The Lupus Society provides a variety of education and support alternatives for our members.

  • Host the annual symposium for our membership, family, caregivers and health care professionals.

  • Publication and distribution of the quarterly newsletter “The Lupus Lighthouse”.

  • Information packages, books and videos are forwarded upon request.

  • An up-to-date library of pamphlets, books, videos and articles is maintained.

  • Participate in an international network with a number of Lupus organizations for the purpose of sharing updated and significant information.

  • Provide resource information and peer support as requested via a Telephone Contact program, Chapters and Support Groups; on-going communication and information sharing.

  • Respond to requests for information by members and health care professionals.

  • Assist with the development of educational materials, as needed for Outreach programs.

  • Liaise with a number of physicians, specialists and other health care professionals to develop an information network.


Annual Lupus Society Symposium

Our main information event of the year is our Annual Symposium which is held for a full day in the fall. The Lupus Society brings in researchers, medical advisors and other knowledgeable speakers from across Canada and internationally, with the goal of providing current and leading edge information to our membership and the community.
